Keshia M. Prince, PsyD

          Keshia M. Prince, PsyD is a bilingual (English & Spanish) mental health clinician specializing in providing care to children, adolescents and adults; including those with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Dr. Prince is trained in several forensic assessments to provide relevant clinical and scientific data to legal decision makers and involvement in criminal proceedings. Additionally, Dr. Prince provides individual and group therapy from a cognitive behavioral therapeutic perspective specializing in grief, trauma, and anxiety. Throughout her career, Dr. Prince has had the opportunity to provide both forensic and non-forensic therapy and assessment, and crisis intervention in a variety of settings such as K-12 schools, hospice, private practice, correctional, and residential settings. Having experiences in a multitude of environments Dr. Prince believes that working from a multicultural framework provides a greater understanding and significant benefits.  

            Dr. Prince received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in correctional psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University, Sacramento campus. She completed her Master of Arts in Criminology at the University of West Georgia, and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Georgia Southern University. Along with her clinical experience, Dr. Prince researched and published in the area of human trafficking, multicultural competency, and supervision. When she is not working, Dr. Prince enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, exploring new sites, painting, and trying new foods.

         Keshia M. Prince, Psy.D. es una terapeuta de salud mental bilingüe (inglés y español) que se especializa en la atención de niños, adolescentes y adultos, incluidos aquellos con trastornos intelectuales y de desarrollo. Dra. Prince está especializadad en varias evaluaciones forensica para proporcionar datos clínicos y científicos pertinentes a los encargados de adoptar decisiones jurídicas y a la participación en procedimientos penales. Además, Dra. Prince conduce terapia individual y de grupo desde una perspectiva terapéutica cognitiva conductual especializada en el dolor, el trauma, y la ansiedad. A lo largo de su carrera, Dra. Prince ha tenido la oportunidad de conducir terapia y evaluación forensica, e intervención en crisis en una variedad de entornos como escuelas de K-12, hospicios, práctica privada, correccionales y residenciales. Al tener experiencias en una multitud de entornos, el Dra. Prince cree que trabajar desde un marco multicultural proporciona una mayor comprensión y beneficios significativos. 

            Dra. Prince obtuvo su doctorado en psicología clínica con una concentración en psicología correccional del California School of Professional Psychology, en Alliant International University, campus de Sacramento. Junto con su experiencia clínica, Dra. Prince investigó y publicó en el área del tratamiento de personas, la competencia multicultural y la supervisión. Cuando no está trabajando, Dra. Prince le gusta pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos, ver películas, explorar nuevos sitios, pintar, y probar nuevas comidas.
